Henri Sannier, former France Télévisions journalist, is preparing to publish a book, not on sport as he is used to, but on his daily life as a sick person.

Available from February from Éditions du Rocher, this work will recount the former presenter's fight against an orphan disease, chronic polyradiculoneuritis, which deprived him of his mobility. The publisher describes it as “a testimony about illness full of courage and hope“.
The fourth cover immediately evokes the arrival of the illness and its consequences: “While he was enjoying the very beginnings of his retirement, after a busy career on television sets, Henri Sannier was struck by illness. Faced with total paralysis and a life in a wheelchair, Henri Sannier shares his thoughts on this overwhelming period: “What does a hyperactive person do when he finds himself deprived of everything that made his life fun? He seeks strength in the support of those close to him and in his happy memories, and tries all kinds of methods.“Thanks to appropriate treatment and intensive rehabilitation, he gradually regains part of his autonomy:”Until doctors offered him treatment that improved his situation and, after long stays in hospital and two years in a wheelchair, he gradually learned to walk again.“
