The direction of Yamaha Motor change of face. Vincent Thommeret leaves the Japanese manufacturer for take the lead from the French manufacturer Electric Motion (EM). A firm in which Yamaha recently investi. Grégory Lejosnecurrently deputy general manager of operations, will succeed him from 1is January 2025 inasmuch as Country Manager for the France. As pointed out Olivier Prévostpresident of Yamaha Motor Europe, “Vincent has been an integral part of the Yamaha family for over 31 years, making significant contributions to the Yamaha business in France. In recent years, he has played a crucial role in exploring new business opportunities, notably by leading several business development projects. Yamaha is very grateful for Vincent Thommeret’s achievements during his time at Yamaha. We sincerely regret to see him leave, but we wish him the greatest success in his next endeavor.”.

Vincent Thommeret at Electric Motion

Vincent Thommeret held the position of Country Manager of the French branch since 11 ans. As he points out, “I am leaving to take on a new challenge from January 1, 2025. At that time, I will no longer be an employee of Yamaha and I will join the company Electric Motion, a French company specializing in off-road electric motorcycles. A company that YMC, as you may know, has recently invested in. My role will be to lead Electric Motion as a single company, accelerate its future development and facilitate collaboration with Yamaha. It’s a dream for me to get closer to product development and engineers as well as participate in the decarbonization of motorcycles. I’m going to work for another company, but I’m happy to continue working in the motorcycle industry. My heart will turn the same way” explains the manager.

Stability at Yamaha Motor France

Grégory Lejosne is far from being a newcomer from the Japanese manufacturer. He has worked at Yamaha since 30 anshaving held several positions within the French subsidiary. He has accompanied Vincent Thommeret in numerous operations and knows the group’s activities inside out. “The management of Yamaha Motor Europe is fully convinced that he will best manage Yamaha France in its various markets” underlines Olivier Prévost. For Grégory Lejosne, “The satisfaction of our customers is at the center of our priorities. It is inseparable from the proximity between the brand and its dealers, but also from the development of new services and the evolution of our systems. The “team spirit” of the Yamaha family is resolutely customer-oriented. In a complex and even uncertain environment, 2025 will have to confirm the strengthening of our positions on the various markets”. The new Country Manager did not fail to thank Vincent Thommeret and Olivier Prévost, while having “a special thought for Jean-Claude Olivier and Éric de Seynes, without whom this wonderful adventure could not have started… thirty years ago”. This appointment ensures a certain stability within the French subsidiary, in a context commercial uncertain for the saison 2025.
