Let the little Mottérieux children rest assured: they will have their presents, under the tree, on the morning of December 25, 2024.

Thanks to the Santa Clausobviously, but also to the mayor of the town of La Motte, near Loudéac (Côtes-d’Armor), Henri Flageul, who decided to facilitate the passage of the most famous bearded man in the world with a municipal decree authorizing it to “fly over and land freely throughout the territory of the municipality”.

But the councilor of La Motte does not stop there and supervises the passage of Santa Claus with others exceptional authorizations.

The mayor forbidden first the presence of the Grinch or even Father Fouettard who “would come to disturb the joy of children on Christmas Eve”.

To support the big bearded man, the councilor authorizes “the maximum presence of six elves on the territory of the municipality to assist Santa Claus in his work.

While our brave footballers from Avenir Sportif will enjoy, with their family, the traditional pastry log, “ the reins Tornade, Dancer, Fringant, Furie, Comète, Tonnerre and Éclair will be able to graze on the small field of the Ernest-Mercier stadium.”

Our little darlings are also invited to support the old bearded man on his tour by preparing “a few biscuits and a glass of milk or failing that a pretty drawing” to place at the foot of the tree.

A purely symbolic decree

To top it off, the mayor expressly provides that his order cannot be contested before the Administrative Court or “any other earthly and celestial jurisdiction.”

This document,humorous purposealso offers the opportunity for members of the municipal council and municipal staff to wish, in an original way, the inhabitants “wonderful end-of-year celebrations, in joy and good humor”.
