Prices for the hydrogen version of Vauxhall's largest light commercial vehicle, the L3 H2 van, will start from £66,450 (around €80,115 or $84,100) excluding VAT. Orders in the UK will begin in spring 2025, Vauxhall said in a press release.

Here's what we know

The Vauxhall/Opel Movano Hydrogen vehicle was unveiled at the IAA Transportation 2024 exhibition in Hannover. This model is a hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicle. The Movano Hydrogen is equipped with an electric motor that develops a maximum power of 150 hp (110 kW) and a torque of 410 Nm.

The fuel cell system is designed for a maximum power of 45 kW. Four cylinders can store up to 7 kg of hydrogen at a pressure of 700 bars. Range can reach 311 miles (500 kilometers) on the WLTP cycle.

An 11 kWh lithium-ion battery provides starting or acceleration assistance. The battery can also be recharged in around 90 minutes using an 11 kW AC charger. In addition, it is recharged by regeneration when the vehicle brakes.

The hydrogen version of the Movano will be available exclusively in Prime specification. This trim's equipment list includes a 10-inch touchscreen multimedia system with integrated TomTom navigation, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, AM/FM/DAB digital radio, Bluetooth connectivity and two USB sockets. The car also has a 7.0-inch digital instrument cluster and electric power steering. Additionally, the cabin is equipped with a six-way adjustable driver's seat with lumbar support and armrest, and a two-seater passenger seat.

Other features include keyless entry and start, rear parking sensors, automatic climate control, electric parking brake, and dual power-adjustable, heated-cover side mirrors. The cabin also has two cup holders and a cell phone compartment in the center of the lower panel.

The Vauxhall Movano Hydrogen will be sold in the UK alongside diesel and electric versions of the Movano.
