The commune of Isle woke up stunned this Monday, December 16, 2024. Inès, A 15-year-old girl was stabbed to death. His body was found on the night of Saturday December 14 to Sunday December 15, “in a wooded area” of the municipality. A teenager is in police custody.

At the foot of a pastel pink building in Odhac, in the city center, Stéphanie leaves her house, looking haggard. At the name of Inès, her voice trembles. “It’s a shock”explains this neighbor, also the mother of a teenager. “My daughter’s father lives there, in the same building where this young girl’s family lived”she explains, pointing to the residence opposite. “I met her often, every other weekend. She was always smiling, it made my heart turn.”

Friday evening, those close to Inès reported her disappearance following an appointment made on the Snapchat application. Aline, a neighbor on the ground floor, saw the police patrolling the area on weekends, but she never would have imagined such a tragedy. “My nieces are close to one of the young girl's sisters. They are kids. It's disturbing, we say to ourselves that our children are not safe.”
An ambush to steal the victim's phone
According to the Limoges public prosecutor's office, a teenager also aged 15 was placed in police custody for the murder of Inès. “There is no question of rape at all”quickly evacuated the Limoges public prosecutor, Emilie Abrantes, without giving further details. The councilor indicates that he will be able to provide the family with premises if they wish to organize a tribute to the young girl. The mayor is planning a minute of silence in his memory during the municipal council meeting this Monday, December 16.
Inès had attended the Jean Rebier college in Isle, before joining the Maryse Bastié high school in Limoges. A listening and psychological support unit has been opened within the establishment and the rectorate specifies that it will remain in place as long as the need arises among the pupils and staff of the establishment. Those close to Inès launched an online prize pool for the organization of his funeral.
