The Alpes-de-Haute-Provence firefighters were alerted on Sunday December 16 for an apartment fire in Gréoux-les-Bains. Around twenty rescuers were mobilized on Chemin des Maurines: on site, they discovered a studio of around thirty square meters, completely engulfed in flames.
They were then able to extract a man in his forties: seriously injured, he was taken care of by a Samu 04 team in order to be evacuated to a hospital center in the department.

The action of the firefighters also made it possible to limit the spread of the disaster to other places of life. However, a pair of firefighters who intervened to put out the fire were slightly affected by an explosion. Examined by emergency doctors, they were transported to a hospital for check-up.
The mayor of Gréoux-les-Bains, the police and the electricity network manager Enedis were also on site.
