The teenager of the same age with whom she had a meeting was arrested on Saturday, after being quickly identified as part of the investigation opened by the Limoges public prosecutor’s office. The young man, living in the same town as Inès, quickly confessed to being the author of the stabbings.
Cell phone theft
In police custody, the suspect explained that he had set a trap for the young girl in order to steal her cell phone. A version that investigators are working to verify. If he admitted to being the author of the stabbings which led to the death of Inès, according to the Limoges prosecutor, Émilie Abrantes, he remained unknown to the police until then.
Attended third grade and passionate about combat sports, Inès was described by those close to her as a “joyful” and determined teenager. “She was not in the habit of letting things happen,” confides a member of her entourage to RMC. The investigation remains open. On »
