It was 9 p.m. this Saturday, December 14, when firefighters intervened on a fire in Laroque-d'Olmes. Nearly 500 m² of a car garage were destroyed by the flames. Inside, although no casualties were reported, around ten vehicles – including at least six cars, a motorcycle and three trucks – suffered varied damage: some were completely ravaged by fire, others only partially.
During the peak of the intervention, three fire vans, equipped with four hoses, an aerial ladder, as well as command reinforcement and medical support, were deployed. Thanks to the significant resources put in place, the offices adjoining the garage as well as neighboring houses were protected from the flames. The fire was extinguished at 12:30 a.m., firefighters are now carrying out patrols to secure the scene. The causes of the fire remain to be determined.
