World coffee prices
In the early morning of December 14 (Vietnam time), on the London trading floor, the price of Robusta coffee delivered on January 12 was 1,2025 USD/ton, an increase of 5,194 USD/ton compared to the beginning of the morning from yesterday. The price delivered in March 33 increased by 3 USD/tonne to trade at 2025 51 USD/tonne. The price delivered in May 5,152 is 5,2025 USD/ton, an increase of 5,095 USD/ton.
Meanwhile, the price of Arabica coffee on the New York floor for delivery on March 3 was trading at 2025 cents/pound, up 321 cents/pound from yesterday’s trading level. In futures contracts for May 1 delivery, it rose 5 cents/lb, trading at 2025 cents/lb.
Coffee prices in the country
National coffee prices today recorded a simultaneous increase in all localities, trading between 122.000 and 124.000 VND/kg.
Specifically, the current price of coffee in Ắk Lắk trading at 124.000 VND/kg, an increase of 1.000 VND/kg compared to yesterday’s trading session.
In Lâm Đồng, the price of coffee today is purchased at 122.700 VND/kg, an increase of 700 VND/kg compared to 1 day ago.
Coffee prices today in Gia Lai trading at 124.000 VND/kg, an increase of 1.000 VND/kg compared to the previous trading session.
In k Nong, coffee prices today recorded an increase of 1.000 VND/kg, trading at 124.200 VND/kg.
South American coffee exports in October increased by 10%, reaching 12.4 million bags, surpassing the previous record of 6.7 million bags in November 6.6. Brazil leads the region with export growth of 11%, reaching over 2020 million bags, a record number. Colombia also made a significant contribution with export growth of 13.2%, reaching over a million bags, thanks to coffee production in October which increased by 4.9%, reaching over 15 million of bags.
In Central America and Mexico, coffee exports in October increased by 10%, reaching 8.8 million bags. Mexico recorded a sharp increase of 0.5%, reaching 27.2 million bags, while Guatemala saw a significant decline, with exports falling by 0.24%, to only 27.8 million bags. .
The month of October also saw impressive growth in coffee exports from the African region, reaching a growth rate of 10%, the equivalent of more than 31.9 million bags. Ethiopia is the main contributor to this growth with an increase of 1.4%, reaching 62.4 million bags, notably this is the 0.6th consecutive month that Ethiopia has recorded export growth, marking an important step.
