On Wednesday December 4, 2024, around thirty people gathered at the La Navette media library of Elbeuf to discover the results of the very first RMTE price (Network of media libraries in the Elbeuvian territory) of comics.

The competition allowed readers to choose their favorite titles from a selection of five comicsdivided into two categories: “adult” and “youth”.

The works, chosen for their graphic and narrative quality, were selected by the network's librarians to offer a varied range of styles.

A successful first edition

The awards ceremony was the culmination of several months of lecture and varied activities. Workshops were organized for children, allowing them to discover the creation of comic strips.

Thanks to the BDNF softwarethey were able to imagine and create their own comic strip, an experience much appreciated by the young participants.

Always more reading!

“When we say that comics are the 9th art, we’re not wrong! » exclaims Béatrice Lefel, first deputy mayor of Elbeuf. The Culture Delegate, who admits with a small smile that she is not a comic book reader, is delighted with the dynamics of the project, which “made it possible to take readers on a journey through the different media libraries of the territory”, also showing the attachment to the RMTE.

While waiting to see a new edition held, comic book enthusiasts can still explore the prize selection, if they have not already done so.
