After the Phone (2) and Phone (2a), it’s time for a new smartphone from Nothing to access the Nothing OS 3.0 beta. On its official forum, the brand actually announced this Tuesday, December 10, 2024 that the CMF Phone 1 is now entitled to it.
The opportunity for the most impatient to let themselves be tempted by this new software overlay running under Android 15. Nothing also shares a long list of new features:
- Shared widgetsto interact with loved ones from the home screen
- Customizing the lock screen
- Smart app drawer creating folders by categories using AI
- Redesigned Quick Settings and Widget Library
- Fine-tuned photo part (app opening, * * * * HDR processing, timer interface and zoom slider)
- Improved pop-up display
- Applications arranged according to their frequency of use
- Automatic storage archiving (without app and data deletions)
- More efficient and secure partial screen sharing
- Updated Setup Wizard for Nothing OS 3.0
- New animation with “a characteristic dot matrix style” for fingerprint unlocking and charging
To install the beta version of Nothing OS 3.0 on the CMF Phone 1, simply follow the following steps described by the manufacturer:
- Have previously installed Nothing OS 2.6
- Download the following APK and install it from downloads
- Open settings, go to section Systemet Update to Beta
- Touch the mention Check for a new version and follow the steps displayed on the screen
“Share your comments by going to Settings > System > Comments or participate in the conversation by joining our dedicated discussion”, recommends Nothing in order to get the most feedback to optimize Nothing OS 3.0 on this model.
