The Étoile du Berger association should open, at the end of 2024 in Grenoble, a day center for victims of domestic violence. This space should include 500 square meters of reception room and offices and a 4,000 square meter garden.
“Within the same family, there can be several types of violence. Physical or psychological, this violence can range from blackmail to control,” explains Astrid Le Menestrel, general director of Étoile du Berger. Families will be able to carry out all their procedures in this day center and find, in particular, psychological support, a lawyer and a social worker.
Heal and regain self-esteem
A space will also be dedicated to self-reconstruction through various therapies, such as art therapy, makeover sessions or even self-defense classes… Everything will be done to overcome trauma and regain self-confidence.
Ultimately, Étoile du Berger intends to open similar houses throughout France. To carry out this wonderful project, the association has launched a call for donations.
