Radon gas is a radioactive gas of natural origin. Odorless and colorless. It is issued in particular by granite and sedimentary soils. He is very harmless to health. But, if it accumulates in a home, it can end up presenting risks after several years of exposure.
This is the fourth campaign which is organized on the territory of Flers Agglo, in partnership with the Regional Health Agency, the Prefecture, the Permanent Center for Environmental Initiatives of the Norman Collines and the DREAL, environment and planning department and housing. It concerns the municipalities of La Ferrière-aux-Etangs, La Coulonche, Dompierre and Saint-André-de-Messei.
The inhabitants of the municipalities concerned will be able to test their accommodation. For this, they may receive a measuring kit. The results will then be analyzed and more in-depth diagnostics can be offered, as well as advice for renovating your home. A public information meeting is organized on January 8, 2025 at 6 p.m. at the La Ferrière-aux-Etangs parish hall.
