Week three of the FC Pro Open is finally here, with showdowns in London between Emre Yilmaz, Yuval, Obrun, Tekkz, GuiBarros and Umut. Stay tuned to our live blog for all the latest from this exciting competition.
Round 5
Umut 3-5 GuiBarros
In the clash between Red Bull Leipzig teammates, GuiBarros snatched a deserved victory against Umut. The Brazilian’s journey through the tournament has been up and down, with victories against Yuval and defeats against Obrun, Emre Yilmaz and Tekkz before facing Umut. However, this triumph against a formidable opponent confirms its legitimate place in this edition of the competition.
Yuval 6-4 Emre Yilmaz
Obrun – Tekkz
Round 4
GuiBarros 2-3 Obrun
Obrun continued his undefeated run at the FC Pro Open with a hard-fought 3-2 victory over GuiBarros. The highlight of the match was his opening goal, a stunning volley from Didier Drogba from outside the box.
Obrun had previously identified GuiBarros as one of his most formidable opponents, and this exceptional shot proved him right. If a better goal emerges in this tournament, we will see a spectacular competition.
Emre Yilmaz 2-4 Umut
Tekkz 4-5 Yuval
Round 3
Obrun 7-2 Umut
Obrun produced a masterful performance against Red Bull Leipzig’s Umut, winning 6-2 with authority. Umut put up a worthy effort, using one-touch passes to break through Obrun’s defense, more effectively than any other competitor in the tournament. However, despite Umut’s determination, Obrun’s relentless attack gained the upper hand, resulting in a decisive victory.
Yuval 1-2 GuiBarros
Emre Yilmaz 4-1 Tekkz
Round 2
Tekkz 3-3 Umut
Tekkz will have to be disappointed not to take all three points against Umut in their Round 2 match after opening the score early. The elements that allowed him to defeat GuiBarros in his opening match were present.
However, unlike GuiBarros, Umut was able to take advantage of Tekkz’s mistakes to secure a well-deserved draw.
Yuval 2-2 Obrun
Emre Yilmaz 3-2 GuiBarros
Round 1
Obrun 3-3 Emre Yilmaz
Obrun remains undefeated since the FC Pro Open World Qualifiers, but his opening match against Emre Yilmaz was much tougher than expected. The Italian demonstrated elite finishing ability that had already proven itself during qualifying.
However, unlike his previous opponents, Yilmaz was able to take advantage of Obrun’s rare errors, allowing him to obtain at least a point in his first match of the competition.
GuiBarros 2-4 Tekkz
Tekkz started his FC Pro Open journey with an impressive victory, handing Red Bull Leipzig’s GuiBarros a 4-2 score.
Tekkz looked focused and determined in his first match, using precise passing and non-stop pressing to stifle his opponent’s attacks. Every time he had the opportunity to penetrate his opponent’s final third, Tekkz knew how to punish his opponent.
Umut 4-2 Yuval

As a regular observer of football competitions and a former volleyball player, I find it particularly captivating to see how strategy plays a crucial role in these high-stakes matches. Each player has a unique way of reading the game, anticipating their opponent’s moves and exploiting defense weaknesses. It’s a powerful reminder of what we in volleyball also know: the ability to adapt in real time to an opponent can be the difference between victory and defeat. In all disciplines, a competitive mentality is essential. Every point counts and it is imperative to be both resilient and tactical to prevail.
