In an official statement released on Sunday, the club confirmed: “Michail Antonio underwent surgery on a broken lower limb following a road accident on Saturday afternoon.”

The incident attracted considerable media attention, particularly after images showing a badly damaged Ferrari surfaced on social media. In response, West Ham provided reassuring updates to fans that Antonio was awake and responsive. The Essex Fire Department also reported its response to the crash, helping to rescue a man trapped in the vehicle.
