The firefighters of Mouthe, Mont d'or, Pontarlier, Levier and Labergement-Sainte-Marie intervened on the night of Friday December 6 to Saturday December 7 around 1 a.m. for an apartment fire in a two-story building and converted attics in Mouthe. According to initial findings, the fire started in the living room of an apartment on the ground floor. The rapid action of the emergency services made it possible to extinguish the fire using a fire hose.

A 4-year-old child, living in the damaged apartment and who may have inhaled smoke, was transported without medical treatment to the Pontarlier intercommunal hospital center. The disaster resulted in the rehousing of the occupants of two apartments. The other residents were able to return to their homes around 3:30 a.m.
