Trump appoints astronaut to head NASA

At age 41, Isaacman made his name in aerospace as an astronaut. He was co-founder and CEO for a decade of Draken International, “a defense aerospace company,” Trump noted.

According to the American press, Isaacman led two private space flights through SpaceX, Elon Musk’s space company, including the first spacewalk of a rocket from the company last September.

“It is a lifelong honor to serve in this position and work alongside the extraordinary NASA team to realize our shared dreams of exploration and discovery,” Isaacman said in a statement relayed by the press.
