The heraldic painter Hyacinthe de Keranrouë, based in Morlaix (Finistère), created an invisible work, which sits at the top of Notre-Dame-de-Paris: a report. He explains what it is about and recounts this unique experience.

“I participated in something that is hidden and will be rediscovered in maybe 150 years,” slips Hyacinthe de Keranrouë, heraldic painter based in Morlaix (Finistère). In December 2023, he created a work of “14 cm by 30 cm”, which is installed in the rooster which sits at the top of Notre-Dame-de-Paris, 96 meters high. This painting is a report, which attests to the presence of relics of Saint-Denis, Sainte-Geneviève but also, of a piece of the holy crown of thorns of Jesus Christ in the rooster.
