For those who have forgotten to declare certain resources to the tax authorities, there is still time to rectify this failure. This Wednesday, December 4 is the deadline to correct the declaration made last spring if you noticed a problem in the tax notice received this summer.
To do this, simply connect to the impots.gouv.fr website and access the “online correction” in the middle of the dashboard. You have until the end of the day to complete this process. After this date, the only way to change your declaration will be to complete a paper correction form, specifies MoneyVox.
An unacceptable correction
Be careful, however, if your corrections are excessive. All corrections aimed at reducing tax are verified, and may be subject to a request for supporting documents. The general directorate of public finances can even refuse this correction.
Please note, the platform is only available to those who have completed their declaration online. If the tax is reduced, but the balance has already been paid, the refund will be made “within the days following receipt of the new notice”.
