Red meat prices continue to fall in Casablanca

The City of Casablanca provides citizens with a weekly bulletin of wholesale prices of meats, fruits and vegetables most demanded on the markets. Prices are provided for information purposes only and may vary depending on the quality of the product and its origin. Please note that these prices are only valid for the wholesale market and not for retailers.

Fall in red meat prices

The indicative prices of sheep meat experienced a further drop of around 5 DH this week, with a price varying between 115 and 120 DH/kg. Those of viandes bovines fell by 2 DH, with a minimum price of 88 DH/kg and maximum of 91 DH/kg.

Vegetables: drop in prices of zucchini and potatoes

THE vegetable prices show a notable decline this week. Zucchini and potatoes recorded drops ranging from 0.3 to 0.5 DH to reach 4.5 DH/kg. Tomatoes remain at 2.80 DH per kilogram. On the other hand, the prices of cauliflower and squash recorded increases ranging from 0.3 to 0.5 DH to stand at around 2.80 DH/kg and 5.5 DH/kg. respectively.

Fruits: drop in prices of local oranges and bananas, increase of 1 DH for pomegranates

THE fruit prices remain generally stable this week. Avocados are maintained at 17 DH/kg, imported bananas at 13 DH/kg, apples imported at 21 DH/kg. The prices of local oranges and bananas recorded drops ranging from 0.2 to 0.5 DH to stand around 4 DH/kg and 7 DH/kg respectively. Prices of pomegranates increased by 1 DH to reach 5.5 DH/kg.
