After an edition turned upside down by a cyclone, the “Koh-Lanta: the cursed tribe” season returned to a traditional pole event. It was therefore at sea that Charlotte, Ilyesse and Thibault faced each other. As usual, the mechanics remain the same: the one who balances on his pillar the longest can choose between his two opponents who will accompany him to submit to the vote of the final jury. A crucial decision that stirred the minds of the adventurers well before the ordeal. When broaching the subject, Thibault launched a proposition: “You don’t want to establish a rule on that, do you? That is to say, the first chooses the second, and then that’s it eh…” But Ilyesse and Charlotte were not very receptive.
The 28-year-old Belgian explained on camera: “Thibault said a little: Well, we should all tell ourselves to take the second one. I didn't even react. No, no, no, it's a bit every man for himself. For me personally, the choice is very difficult because Ilyesse and Thibault are two people who are appreciated by everyone on the camp. »
The engineering student from Seine-Saint-Denis, for his part, tried to drown out the fish: “We have to see the whole adventure. Much merit, after the affinities. You also have to tell yourself that you have to win, it’s complicated. » The Corsican therefore clearly understood that his capital sympathy could harm him if he did not emerge victorious from the final challenge: “I felt that they would certainly choose the two of them,” he lamented in aside. You'll just have to count on me. It's going to be very complicated. I'm disappointed. »
“I’m going to start life again by taking things more lightly”
But before the final confrontation between Charlotte, Ilyesse and Thibault, the three candidates were entitled to a visit to their camp from host Denis Brogniart to make an initial assessment of their adventure. Ilyesse spoke of her parents wanting to hug her mother and say “thank you” to her father. He assured that if he won the 100,000 euros, he would reimburse his tuition fees, take his family on vacation and organize big meals with his friends.
Charlotte also spoke about her mother and wanted to stop being too hard on herself, taking Koh-Lanta as therapy. The Belgian also discussed her reunion with her father, who abandoned her when she was little, shortly before his death. She underlined her desire, with the possible gains, to create an association to help young people who have committed crimes to get back on track or unaccompanied foreign minors.
As for Thibault, he experienced the adventure as a trigger. “I'm going to start life again by taking things more lightly, by being less impulsive. » He even said he wanted to find his ex-partner, the mother of his daughters from whom he is separated, to pick up the pieces. He then dreams of a beautiful trip with his children in the event of a final reward.
After 2.5 hours of suffering
On this 41st and last day of the adventure, the trio, composed entirely of former members of the yellow tribe, finally presented themselves in front of the legendary posts. They took their place, barefoot, each on their pillar, the initial surface of which was a rectangle measuring 20 cm by 15. Quite distracted, Ilyesse turned her head in all directions, admiring the landscape. “I'm going to end up falling! » he exclaimed, amused.
After an hour, the test got tougher since the platform of the posts was reduced to a square with a side of 15 cm. The first weaknesses appeared with a few wobbles, but still no fall on the horizon. After two hours of competition, a new difficulty: only a rectangle of 10 cm by 15 to stand on. A fatal step for the student from Seine-Saint-Denis who fell twenty minutes later during a moment of inattention.
After holding on for two hours and thirty minutes, Charlotte and Thibault found themselves on the smallest surface of the game: a square with a side of 10 cm. The Corsican then only lasted a few seconds. It was therefore the Belgian who won the final confrontation. Moved to tears, she assured that she was finally proud of herself: “It’s one of the greatest victories of my life. » Charlotte finally chose Thibault to accompany her, ensuring that she had decided in any case to choose the second of the posts. “I am very grateful,” Thibault told him, who couldn’t believe it. Ilyesse was a good player: “I'm leaving with my head held high and I'm proud of myself. »
It then remained for the duo to appear before the final jury made up of the thirteen adventurers who had been eliminated since reunification. They will have to decide between them by voting to designate the winner of this edition. The counting will then take place on set and live on TF1.
