A new gas leak in Beaune took place this Tuesday early in the afternoon, after the one during the night. This new leak appears to be of a level serious enough to cause the evacuation of several buildings on rue Spuller, in the historic city center of Beaune.
800 subscribers deprived of gas during the intervention
The leak is believed to be located at number 5 rue Spuller and is currently of unknown origin.
Beaune firefighters are working to secure the scene and evacuate the buildings located along the street. On site, we note the presence of the Beaune firefighters, with the teams from Nuits-Saint-Georges and Nolay arriving as reinforcements, without forgetting that of Dijon with a technological risk intervention vehicle.
Grdf teams are also on site. In total, 800 subscribers saw their gas cut off during the intervention.
Several residents were evacuated from their homes by fire soldiers like Jacky who lives at 4, rue Belle-Croix or Maurice Godeaux who runs La Belette Bleue, rue du Château, a brand specializing in IT, and who cannot return to work.
A Sdis (Departmental Fire and Rescue Service) 21 command post will be set up.
