This morning we were in the heart of the Valencia Christmas market. Between tastings and meetings with passionate artisans, the festive and warm atmosphere of the market was there.
A gourmet awakening with Dan and goose foie gras.
From his chalet, Dan Benhamou shared the family history of Delights of Payresa cannery dedicated to traditional goose products. Between goose foie gras, cassoulet and stuffed figs, Dan introduced refined and authentic flavors. He explained the subtle nuances between goose and duck foie gras, inviting you to a tasting that will amaze the taste buds.
A Quebec detour with Eric's poutine.
Heading to Canada with Eric, from “The Good Poutine”. Between homemade fries, cheddar cheese and typical sauces, he introduced this Quebec specialty that appeals to young and old. For sweets, pancake sticks with Nutella and salted butter caramel have delighted sweet lovers.
The magic of local products.
Théo, young beekeeper from “Terr'Abelha Miel d'Ardèche“, highlighted the region's honeys, from chestnut to rare raspberry honey. His chalet, magnificently decorated, reflects the authenticity and love of his profession.
Gluttony around raclette with Dylan.
Finally, Dylan from The Gourmet Note offered raclette in all its forms: burgers, potato waffles and au gratin pretzels. An ideal culinary experience to face the cold of winter.
La Cabane à Mario: A piece of Quebec at the Christmas market.
Since November 29, the famous Mario Cabin has been set up to delight visitors to the Christmas market. Created in 2012 by two Quebecers, Carole and Mario, this company offers a gourmet immersion in Quebec culture: maple syrups and biscuits, bison terrines, sweet whiskeys and craft beers like The Accursed or The End of the World. Recently taken over by two entrepreneurs with export expertise, the cabin continues to share its know-how internationally. A nice surprise for foodies… and for the lucky ones, a competition to win a trip to Quebec!
