– Three barracks mobilized for the fire –
It was at 6:20 a.m. that Codis received a call for a house fire in La Possession.
Three barracks from the Port, Saint-Paul and La Possession were dispatched to the site, “as well as an ambulance”, explains Jean-Pierre Séraphin, head of the La Possession center. In total, nearly thirty firefighters were on site.
“When we arrived on site, the wooden house was completely engulfed in flames,” he adds. Entering the scene of the disaster, “we discovered a lady in the swimming pool who unfortunately died”. It was a firefighter from La Possession who jumped into the water to recover the victim.
From now on, the work is the criminal identification of the gendarmerie brigade.
