In a pre-match press conference, Montpellier Hérault coach Jean-Louis Gasset spoke about his mandate starting a few weeks ago now:
“Since our arrival, the schedule we have had is the reception in Toulouse, the trip to Le Havre, the reception in Brest and the trip to Saint-Etienne. All the purists will tell you that the hardest match was that of Brest. This is the one we won. For the other two, I don't count Toulouse which we gave after 8 minutes, Le Havre and Sainté, we figure. Mentally, we have to be very strong and perhaps by facing teams more upscale than ours, we will find our happiness. »
And this would give a more frightening side to our lair, where it has become commonplace to drop points: “It’s not just yesterday that the Stade de la Mosson is no longer scary. We have to maintain results like against Brest and with a good start to the match. This needs to be repeated. And even if the start is not good, you have to win, even if the opponent is very good. »
Three points against LOSC, a great message for the future…
