The Paris Criminal Court convicted the driver accused of killing Antoine Allénothe son of chef Yannick Alléno, seven years in prison accompanied by a committal warrant against him, this Thursday, November 28.
The license of Francky D., who was driving drunk, was also canceled and he will not be able to retake the test for five years. The sentence was pronounced with provisional execution and he will be imprisoned even if he appeals the decision.
During the hearing, the president indicated that the respondent had “accumulated the imprudence which led to the tragedy”reports BFMTV. The man appeared free under judicial supervision and was tried for manslaughter with at least two circumstances aggravating, harmfulinvoluntary assault and theft with violence. At the end of October, the prosecution requested eight years in prison and a ban on driving for ten years.
The driver admitted “all the facts”
The facts occurred on May 8, 2022. The driver, drunk driving an Audi RS6 at 120 km/hhad hit a VTC, a taxi and a scooter, in a street in the 7th arrondissement of Paris. Antoine Alléno, 24, who was driving the two-wheeler, was fatally injured. Francky D. was then arrested and checked with 1.56 g/l of alcohol in his blood.
The man recognized “all the facts”except those of violence. In fact, a valet accuses him of having hit him to steal the vehicle. He also admitted to having “committed the irreparable”. He faces up to ten years of imprisonment and 150,000 euros in fines.
The father of the deceased, Yannick Alléno, founded with his family the Antoine Alléno association to support those who have lost a loved one to road violence. The chief also defends the creation of an offense of road homicide.
