Amazfit announces a new Zepp OS 4 update for its smartwatch

Zepp Health announced the November OTA release for the Amazfit Cheetah Pro smartwatch. This is an update to Zepp OS 4 with a series of new features and improvements for the watch.

The release notes indicate that the November update brings a refreshed Zepp OS keyboard, including letters, numbers, symbols and emojis, which should allow users to respond to messages faster. Two new training modes have been added: Mountain Skiing and Dog Walking. The latter allows you to record the route and the time spent walking. For strength training, a new action quality assessment is offered, which is supposed to provide personalized feedback on your training. Additionally, readiness overviews are now available to all users. Previously, this feature was reserved for Aura subscribers. Your Readiness Score indicates your physical and mental recovery status based on your recent sleep, heart rate, and body temperature data. Additionally, the heart rate algorithm has been improved for more stable measurements and to reduce outliers in the data.

The November OTA release of the Amazfit Cheetah Pro is currently being released to a limited number of users. According to a post on the Zepp Health Discord, a larger global release will begin on December 4. However, it is unclear how long it will take for the update to reach all users. The Amazfit Cheetah Pro, which usually retails for around €219.00/€249.90, is currently on sale for Black Friday on Amazon in several countries, including the UK (now €149) Netherlands (€199.90), (€199.90) and Germany (€179.90).
