Un teacher at the Rempart-Vinci high school, in the 7e district of Marseille, filed a complaint against X after death threats were made against him, reports Le Figaro. It was the discovery of screenshots of a private discussion group between teenagers on Snapchat (already criticized in relation to the protection of minors) which triggered this episode.

The students in this group, called “Rempart 5”, are part of the teacher’s son’s class. The latter would have been the victim of harassment from other students, who would circulate a photograph of him dating from several years ago. In the discussion, they call for “tearing down the PD and its boss” and “throwing the PD and its big joke in the trash”. According to the professor, one of his interventions would have aroused tensions linked to racism, anti-Semitism, conspiracy and Holocaust denial in the class.
“No attack on a teacher is acceptable”
A report was made to the prosecutor and an investigation opened. The rectorate of the Aix-Marseille academy ensures that it takes the situation “very seriously, like any attack against staff”, and offered legal protection and psychological support to the teacher. “At the Republic school, no threat, no attack against a teacher is acceptable. Never,” denounced on X the president of the Paca (Renaissance) region, Renaud Muselier.
