Colin Jost was born on June 29, 1982 in Staten Island, New York. He is a screenwriter, comedian and author best known for his work on the show “Saturday Night Live”. He began to make his mark as a student by writing for his university's satirical newspaper, the Harvard Lampoon. After studying literature, he began writing for “SNL” in 2005, a job that earned him no less than 15 Emmy Award nominations.
It was in 2006 that he met Scarlett Johansson for the first time on the set of the show. The actor humorously recounts his first impression of the actress in his memoir “A Very Punchable Face”, published in 2020: “She had just turned 20 and I was 23. A story that begins on a set
But it was not until 2017, when Scarlett Johansson had just separated from Romain Dauriac, the father of her daughter Rose, for their relationship to begin. She meets Colin Jost during the filming of an episode of “Saturday Night Live”, after which they will never leave each other.
Two years later, the couple revealed their engagement. He married the following year, during a very intimate ceremony, constrained by Covid hygiene rules. In August 2021, they announced the birth of their son Cosmo via Instagram: “We had a baby… His name is Cosmo. We like it very much. Respect for our privacy would be greatly appreciated,” writes Scarlett Johansson’s husband in the caption of the publication.
Since then, the lovers have been in perfect love, not hesitating to support each other in their projects, although remaining relatively discreet about their life as a couple.
