There was disappointment with the final result last night, and this Wednesday morning, the audience totals were below expectations. Just over a million viewers watched PSG's defeat at Bayern (1-0).
If the poster and the stakes were high this Tuesday during the Champions League match between Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain, the event was not a success in terms of audience. According to the figures of team journal“only” 1.23 million viewers watched the Parisian defeat on German soil, broadcast on Canal+ Foot (6.3% audience share).
A figure down if we compare it to the 1.34 million viewers who watched PSG – Girona during the first day of competition (1-0), and even lower than last year at the same period, when PSG – Newcastle (1-1) had 1.86 million viewers.
With four points in five days and a 26th place in the standings – which should be even lower this Wednesday evening after the other matches – Paris will have to win two of its last three matches, at least, to hope to reach the play offs of the League of Champions.
As a reminder, PSG will face RB Salzburg, VfB Stuttgart and finally Manchester City by the end of the league phase.
