Another hard blow for the Hisler bookstore, in downtown Metz. Ten days after the fire which partly destroyed itthe boutique on rue Ambroise-Thomas, at the foot of the cathedral, was burglarized on the night of Tuesday November 26 to Wednesday November 27. The padlock that had been installed on the door was forced open. We do not yet know the damage caused by this theft.
The Hisler bookstore, established for 140 years in downtown Metz, is closed since November 17After a fire which destroyed the cellars and roofs of the historic building which housed it. After the evacuation of businesses and housing, a security order was issued by the town hall to prohibit access to the building, weakened by the flames and by the water carried by the firefighters.
