The wait is still long for the bowlers of Falaise (Calvados) but the end is getting closer. During the municipal council meeting, Monday November 25, 2024, the mayor of Falaise, Hervé Maunoury, indicated that he was confident about the fact “to finally have the bowling alley at the end of 2025” in the Fresnaye park.

He added: “There is a delay because we had problems with building permits, particularly linked to the height of the building because it is just behind the Château de la Fresnaye. One change still needs to be made. »

Photovoltaic panels

The subject of the future bowling alley was raised in the municipal council because a deliberation concerned the signing of a long-term administrative lease with the company Vertsun. This company will be responsible for installing photovoltaic panels on the roof of the future bowling alley. Signs of this type will also be on the two tennis courts near the Guibray stadium, rue de Villy.
