The Star Seeker, the first luxury yacht of the new Star class Windstar Cruisesrecently hit the water for the first time at the WestSEA shipyard in Viana do Castelo, Portugal, the company announced in a press release.
The luxury ship, which will begin service in December 2025, will offer dream cruises including Portugal, the Caribbean, Alaska and Japan.
According to Cruise Industry News, the Star Seeker will have 112 elegant suites and five restaurants.
Among the liner’s distinctive features, the water sports platform will transform the ocean into a veritable infinity pool, allowing passengers to enjoy activities directly from the ship.
With a capacity of 224 passengers and a staff-to-passenger ratio of 1:2, the Star Seeker will enter service in December 2025. It will sail from Malaga, Spain, to Miami, Florida, where Windstar is headquartered, and where the ship’s naming ceremony will take place in January 2026.
The Star Seeker will then make its maiden voyage to the Caribbean and offer other cruises in the region before heading up the U.S. West Coast to Alaska to offer a full summer cruise season.
From there, the ship will sail to Asia, where it will offer a series of cruises around Japan.
