Jan Cadieux’s men are coming back from hell after a completely crazy match played on Monday at Les Vernets. Trailing 0-4 after just 16 minutes of play, they were able to turn the situation around to finally win 6-5 in overtime. Perhaps something clicked within the team at that time. The Eagles remain on two comebacks and a very honorable defeat against Berne. If they manage to erase the few costly errors that cause them to lose too many matches, often by a single goal, the Garnet could quickly move up the rankings.
Fribourg-Gottéron in the sights
Genève-Servette is only two points behind Fribourgeois (with three games in hand)! A victory at the Vernets this Wednesday would allow the Grenat to grab another place, or even more depending on the results of the other matches, since Ambrì-Piotta and Lugano also have only two points ahead of the GSHC.
The Dragons have won four of their last ten games, compared to just three for the Eagles. On the other hand, Jan Cadieux’s men continue their journey in the CHL, while Pat Emond’s ended in the round of 16. In the National League, both teams must earn points to stay on the Playoff train.
As with the GSHC, in Fribourg, it is the foreign players who carry the team at arm’s length. Sörensen (21 points), Wallmark (15 points), De la Rose (14 points) and Gunderson (13 points) dominate the internal rankings. On the Swiss side, only Bertschy (11 points) and the inexhaustible Sprunger (10 points) are doing well. Genève-Servette won in the first confrontation this season, with a narrow 3-2 victory, notably thanks to two goals scored at the end of the match.
L’Oréal Men Expert takes care of our athletes!
Since this season, L’Oréal Men Expert has been one of the new partners of the Genève-Servette Hockey Club. L’Oréal shares many values with the club. Created four years after the GSHC (in 1909), the brand is a force of innovation which has never been afraid to shake up the codes: first with hair coloring, then with skincare products, makeup, and finally the men’s range, launched in the 2000s.
Having become one of the best-known brands in the world, L’Oréal is today a partner of which Genève-Servette is very proud. This Wednesday, L’Oréal Men Expert will be present at the ice rink with a stand where goodies will be distributed, while flags will adorn the grandstand, and much more.
This match between Genève-Servette and Fribourg-Gottéron will be played at the Vernets ice rink from 7:45 p.m. this Wednesday. The meeting can be followed live and in full on MySports and Radio Lac (91.8).
