Why wait for the Galaxy Unpacked on July 10 when we now know everything about Samsung’s future smartwatches! After the leaked images of the two new models, here are their technical specifications and prices.
Samsung will not have much left to present during its Unpacked event scheduled for Paris on July 10, at least as far as the range of smartwatches is concerned. Images of the Galaxy Watch 7 et Galaxy Watch Ultra have already revealed the design of the new models in their smallest seams, now here come the technical specifications and the prices in France!
Before time, it’s time
The good news, as reported by the discovery of Dealabsis that the prices of the Galaxy Watch 7 will not change compared to the current range: the 40 mm version would cost €319 (Wi-Fi) or €369 (cellular). As for the 44 mm case, it would come to €349 (Wi-Fi) or €399 (cellular). As for the big new product of the year, namely the Galaxy Watch Ultra, we should expect a price of €699, or €200 less than the Apple Watch Ultra, clearly Samsung’s inspiration.
The two Galaxy Watch 7 models differ in the size of their cases (40 mm and 44 mm), the diagonal of their screens (1.3 and 1.5 inches) and the capacity of their batteries (300 and 425 mAh). For the rest, the components would be similar: Super AMOLED screen, Exynos W1000 chip engraved in 3 nm (5 cores), 2 GB of RAM, 32 GB of storage, Bluetooth 5.3, IP68 certification, all kinds of sensors (BioActive, temperature, heart rate monitor), a GPS.
The Galaxy Watch Ultra takes over several of these technical features, starting with the 1.5-inch Super AMOLED screen stolen from the 44mm Watch 7, the chip, RAM and storage, certification for water and dust resistance. The battery has a capacity of 590 mAh. This “round in a square” watch will only be offered in a cellular version.
