A soothing dream before the death of his father
On December 27, 1992, Dany Boon lost his father to leukemia. He was only 22 years old at the time and was just beginning to make his way in the artistic world. Unfortunately, his father never had the opportunity to see him triumph on stage or in the cinema.
Very ill and weakened, his father was hospitalized at the Lille University Hospital. Dany Boon remembers: “I was told that he would not live more than three years. He was very thin, very weak. »
One evening, after one of his performances, Dany Boon tells having had a significant dream in which his father appeared healthy and peaceful.
He told me: “Everything is fine.” I saw it normal, it was great. I woke up feeling super calm.
Shortly after, the phone rang: the hospital announced the death of his father.
It’s the last image I have of him… This dream. It was strong, it helped me get through this complicated moment.
