A retiree won the sum of 13 million euros in the Halloween Super Loto, after participating, as usual, for her daughter’s birthday.
October 31 will remain engraved in his memory. That evening, to celebrate her daughter’s birthday, this retiree, who prefers to remain anonymous, decides to try her luck at the Halloween Super Loto. Without even suspecting that a few hours later, she would receive an e-mail from the FDJ informing her of her gain of 13 million euros.
An unforgettable birthday
Every year, the retiree has gotten into the habit of participating in the lottery on this special date. This year, she decided to play, without even suspecting that luck would turn in her favor. Although she did not consult the drawing in the evening, it was during the night, around 3:30 a.m., that she suddenly woke up.
By checking her phone, she discovers an email from the FDJ informing her of her win. “I had to wait until the morning to call my daughter. During the rest of the night, I kept telling myself it’s not possible, it’s not possible,” she says. And added: “Once in the morning, I was finally able to call her: ‘Honey, we won the Lottery! Happy birthday !”.
