Launched in 1973 in the United States, the soap opera The Young and the Restless later gave birth to its spin-off series The Bold and the Beautiful in 1987. Thanks to this shared universe, it happens relatively frequently that bridges (or “crossovers”, as they say in the jargon) occur between the fictions.

So, several characters have made the connection between The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful over the decades, appearing on both daily shows. In fact, this phenomenon is about to happen again as two iconic Genoa City residents are going to Los Angeles to visit the Forresters!
They are Christine (or Cricket for short) and Danny (Phyllis’s rocker ex), played by Lauralee Bell and Michael Damian. In the Young and the Restless storylines currently airing on the other side of the Atlantic, the exes who were once madly in love have decided to give their great love story another chance, after she has definitively separated from Paul (Doug Davidson, who no longer wants to return to the series).
