Around midnight, the residents of Rue des Bourgades were once again woken up by the flashing lights of the fire brigade.
For the second time in less than 36 hours, a fire broke out in the same area, reinforcing suspicions of criminal acts.
After two vehicles were set on fire and a cellar was damaged in the previous incident, this time the fire broke out between the cellar and a car. The recurrence and precise location of these fires leave little room for doubt as to their deliberate origin.
As in previous incidents, firefighters and police officers quickly arrived at the scene. The owner of the building and the tenant of the neighboring pizzeria were called to open the business and check whether the fire had spread inside the building.
This series of fires is causing growing concern among residents of the neighborhood. The criminal track seems increasingly favored. The gendarmerie investigators should intensify their investigations to try to identify the person or persons responsible for these acts. In the meantime, the residents of rue des Bourgades remain on the alert.
