Under the influence of alcohol and drugs, the former member of One Direction fell from the balcony of his hotel room in Buenos Aires while trying to escape. Anonymous sources reveal that the Palermo Hotel knew that the British artist had threatened to use its balcony to escape from his room. CCTV footage shows that employees of the Argentinian hotel forced the 31-year-old singer to return to his room after he appeared agitated in the lobby of the establishment.
Police reports indicate that security guards entered his room, only to remove a mirror so that the singer would not break it. The officers then left Liam Payne alone in his room. TMZ reveals that a hotel employee contacted the Argentinian emergency number a few minutes before the singer's death, in order to warn them of his concerns about the singer's condition. “I don’t know if his life is in danger. He’s in a room with a balcony, and we’re a little scared…”says the transcript. The singer's body was repatriated to London on November 7.

More than a month after the death of Liam Payne, his loved ones were finally able to say goodbye to him. His funeral took place on Wednesday November 20 in Amersham near London, England. All the members of the group One Direction (Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan) came to attend the moving ceremony, as did Kate Cassidy, Liam's latest companion. Dressed entirely in black, the pretty blonde hid her sadness behind her black glasses. Devastated, she shared her grief on her Instagram account after the death of her partner: “My angel. You are everything. I want you to know that I loved you unconditionally and completely. I will continue to love you for the rest of my life. I love you, Liam.”
