The socialist president of the departmental council of Seine-Saint-Denis, Stéphane Troussel, announced that his community would have to borrow an additional 300 million euros by 2029. This will have the effect of an explosion in the debt of the poorest department of Metropolitan France which will increase from 1.6 to 1.9 billion euros.
This insane budgetary trajectory, yet unashamedly assumed by the left, made Philippe Dallier, mayor of Pavillons-sous-Bois and president of the LR-Divers right group in the departmental council of 93, jump. He reacted strongly in the columns from the newspaper Le Parisien: “Who other than our children will repay this debt to the banks? » he asked, recalling that Stéphane Troussel (PS) had nevertheless promised in 2014 not to exceed 1.4 billion euros in debt.
Mr Dallier added “In 2019, the debt reached 1.63 billion euros and now it will increase by an additional 300 million euros! In three years, the department has burned out! »
