An 18-year-old woman died on Sunday during an urban rodeo in Bassens, near Bordeaux.
The victim was a passenger on a motorized two-wheeler.
Two young men, who were riding stolen motocross bikes, were seriously injured.
New drama Sunday evening during an urban rodeo. This November 24, shortly after 7 p.m., in Bassens, a town located about ten kilometers northeast of Bordeaux (Gironde), a young woman aged 18 died and two young men who were traveling on motorized two-wheelers were seriously injured.
According to a police source, the events took place during an undeclared motorized gathering on Boulevard des Industries in the city’s industrial zone. The young woman who died was a passenger on one of the motorcycles. She died before help arrived. The two injured drivers were taken to hospital.
Stolen motorcycles
Contacted by the LCI-TF1 editorial staff, the Bordeaux public prosecutor’s office confirmed this Monday the death, at the scene of the tragedy, of the young woman born in 2005. An investigation into manslaughter by a driver was opened.
Samples were taken on site. The two motocross bikes, reported stolen, were immediately seized. Investigations continue.
