L’fire broke out around 11 a.m., this Monday, November 25, 2024. A fire had just been reported in a paint booth of the company CMAlocated in Tarascon-sur-Ariège (Ariège), at the foot of the Pyrenees.
Significant emergency resources deployed on site
Quickly informed, the area firefighters engaged two firefighting trucks, a large ladder, an ambulance and a group leader.
They were also able to benefit from the help of two volunteer firefighters working within the local company. These two men quickly proceeded to l’extinction of the disaster, before help arrives.
6 employees at the hospital
Upon arriving on site, firefighters took charge 8 employees inconvenienced by the fumes. After the assessment carried out by a nurse, it was decided to evacuate 6 to the intercommunal hospital center of the Ariège valleys (CHIVA).
In total, these are 27 firefighters who were mobilized at the height of the intervention.
