The minor, not in school and unemployed, as well as three young men, adults and present at the time of the events, were placed in police custody.
An altercation between two people reportedly broke out during the night from Saturday to Sunday after an evening in an apartment in Luxeuil-les-Bains. During this altercation, “the 22-year-old young man tried to intervene and allegedly received a single stab wound to the chest,” detailed Mr. Grécourt, public prosecutor of Vesoul.

Witnesses called emergency services, but the young man died on the spot and all participants in the evening were taken into police custody.
Still according to the prosecutor, the young woman could be presented to an investigating judge at the end of her custody, while the three men should be released.
A judicial investigation for murder must be opened by the Vesoul public prosecutor’s office, which could be relieved of the case in favor of the criminal investigation center in Besançon.
