PSG has just revealed the group of 22 players selected for the match against Bayern Munich and there is plenty of good news with no less than three important returns: those of Nuno Mendes, Gonçalo Ramos and even Presnel Kimpembe.
PSG returns to the Champions League this Tuesday evening at the Allianz Arena in Munich and Luis Enrique has called up a group of 22 players for this complicated trip, but with three returns which weigh heavily. As for months, Lucas Hernandez is not fit because he is still recovering and he will not be reunited with his former partners. But he is now the only long-term absentee from the club!
After more than three months of absence and having just returned to collective training for a long week, PSG striker Gonçalo Ramos is in the group that was selected to face Bayern! More good news, Presnel Kimpembe was also selected by Luis Enrique and therefore marks his comeback, 21 months after his last match in Marseille (3-0). Given that the match sheets have up to 23 names in the Champions League, they should logically be included.
The third important return is that of Nuno Mendesinjured in the ankle with the Portuguese selection and left to rest this Friday evening against Toulouse. The Portuguese left-back is indeed fit and should even be part of the starting lineup, unlike the other two who will have more of a substitute status at kick-off. The only notable absentee for this Bayern/PSG is ultimately Senny Mayuluhit in the calf. On the young side, Mbaye was left at the disposal of the Youth League team but Zague is with the pros.
The squad for Bayern/PSG:
- Guardians: Donnarumma, Safonov, Tenas
- Defenders: Hakimi, Marquinhos, Pacho, Kimpembe, Beraldo, Skriniar, Mendes, Zague
- Environments: Ruiz, Neves, Vitinha, Zaïre-Emery, Doué
- Attackers: Barcola, Dembélé, Asensio, Kolo Muani, Lee, Ramos
