A DHL plane crashed into a building near Vilnius airport, Lithuania, causing a fire. The accident, which occurred after a flight from Leipzig, reportedly left at least one dead and several injured. Emergency services are mobilized en masse.

A plane flying on behalf of the logistics company DHL crashed into a housing complex near Vilnius airport in Lithuania, several local media reported. The plane hit a two-story building which then caught fire, according to public radio LRT.

Lithuanian news site Delfi reports that four people, two pilots and two employees, were on board the plane. One of the occupants was killed in the accident, emergency services said. Three others were injured. One of the pilots was extricated after regaining consciousness.

The twelve people present in the building at the time of the crash were brought to safety.

An airport spokesperson told LRT that the plane came from Leipzig, Germany. The emergency services are present in large numbers, he added.
