The AirPods Pro 2 still rank among the best wireless headphones, even after two years. The design of these in-ear headphones is now obvious. The shape of the earbuds and their stems adapt perfectly to the ear canal, allowing comfortable listening even for hours. They even come close to the comfort of non-in-ear headphones. The finishes are impeccable, and the headphones are IPX4 certified to resist dust, splashing water and perspiration. However, don’t expect to do extreme sports with Apple headphones. For running or other less intensive activities, they do just the job.
The big difference with the old generation comes from the tactile surface on the stem which allows you to change the volume and tracks, activate noise reduction, or receive your calls. The audio is quality thanks to the H2 chip. We find a well-balanced sound, good bass and precise bass and treble, including at high volume. New, and not least, the AirPods Pro 2 now have three technologies supposed to protect the ears and, if necessary, correct hearing, as well as a functionality to attenuate loud intermittent sounds.

The AirPods Pro 2 offer impressive active noise reduction, and one of the best on the market. The onboard H2 chip perfectly attenuates the bass and midrange, and goes so far as to eliminate surrounding noise, although not without a little discomfort in the process. If the pressure sensation of ANC bothers you, Adaptive Transparent mode lets ambient sounds through so you can stay aware of your surroundings. Autonomy level, allow 6 hours of use with ANC activated, and 8 hours without. The box offers an additional 30 hours of listening time.
