National Security Office (NSO) reinforces recommendation to avoid non-essential travel to the UAE
On November 21, terrorists assassinated an Israeli citizen in the United Arab Emirates and there is fear that the threat persists against Israelis and Jews in the region – the National Security Office reminds today (Sunday) November 24, 2024 to the Israeli public that the United Arab Emirates is under a Level 3 (medium threat) travel alert which recommends avoiding non-essential travel to this destination and calls on UAE residents to take the following precautions:
Avoid businesses, gathering places and entertainment areas identified as frequented by the Israeli and Jewish population.
Maintain increased vigilance in public places (including restaurants, hotels, bars, etc.).
Avoid displaying distinctive Israeli signs.
Cooperate with local security forces, follow their instructions, and immediately report any exposure to terrorist activity.
Avoid posting travel details on social media and posting photos and tour details before and during the trip, including in different groups focused on overseas tourism. It is generally recommended to lock profiles on social networks and avoid sharing.
Visitors to the country are recommended to limit their movements and stay in secure areas.
