An investigation was opened by the Rouen public prosecutor's office to elucidate the circumstances surrounding the death of a 50-year-old woman, Monday November 11, 2024, found lifeless in her burned apartment at number 15 rue Louis-Demarest in Sotteville-lès -Rouen.

The autopsy conducted on the body revealed that the “causes of death were burns, smoke inhalation and carbon monoxide”confirms the Rouen prosecutor. The floor is now “waiting for the results of other analyzes carried out on the victim to clarify the circumstances of the fire”.
Monday, November 11, the fire started from the sofa in the apartment located on the third floor. One of its occupants, a man in his fifties, was also slightly injured. On site, the emergency services had posed a medico-legal obstacle to help elucidate the causes of the tragedy.
