The man suspected of having killed Lilian Dejan, 49, municipal cleaning services agent, on September 8 in Grenoble, was arrested this Thursday in Portugal, corroborating sources indicated to Dauphiné releasedconfirming information from TF1.
The suspect, identified thanks to the identity card found in the car after the accident, as revealed The Dauphiné Libéréis a 25-year-old from Isère who has been deeply involved in delinquency since his early youth. At just 16 years old, his criminal record already showed eight mentions, notably for violence and illegal carrying of weapons. Since then, we know that three other convictions have added to this record, notably for theft, aggravated violence and drug trafficking. Originally from Saint-Martin-d’Hères where he had lived since his childhood, he has been incarcerated several times, his last release dating from May 11. He was summoned again by the Grenoble Criminal Court on October 3 to answer for aggravated violence within the Grenoble-Varces penitentiary center while he was detained there in 2023.
Investigators were convinced he had fled abroad, with Portugal being one of the destinations the search had focused on.
